Cowboy Space Corp. in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Software Engineer, Reliability to ensure avionics and high‑performance compute software runs faultlessly in orbit.

You will own reliability from concept to flight, building automated validation and testing frameworks for CPU/GPU platforms and accelerators under mission-like conditions. You will collaborate with electrical, avionics and software teams to optimize fault tolerance, diagnose anomalies, and drive system observability and performance

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or EE.
  • 4+ years in software reliability or systems validation.
  • Strong Python and C++ skills.
  • Experience with distributed and embedded systems.
  • Experience building automated test frameworks.

Responsabilidades

  • Own software reliability for avionics and compute systems throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain automated test and validation frameworks.
  • Validate performance, stability, and fault tolerance under mission conditions.
  • Perform hardware-in-the-loop, environmental, and stress testing.
  • Collaborate with electrical, avionics, and software teams to ensure robust integration.
  • Develop internal tools for telemetry analysis and observability.
