Cowboy Space Corp in San Carlos, CA, is seeking a Senior Avionics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for advanced satellites. You will collaborate with software, mechanical, solar, and propulsion teams to meet space-grade performance standards.

Responsibilities span designing and testing hardware, creating schematics and PCB layouts, environmental testing, and documenting requirements and test plans, with a focus on reliability in harsh space

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably aerospace or satellite systems.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools (LTspice) and data sheets.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, generators, soldering).
• Proficiency with CAD tools for electrical design (Altium, OrCAD).
• Familiarity with control systems and sensors in optical platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design and test electrical hardware for satellite subsystems, focusing on power management, control, and signal processing.
• Develop and maintain schematics, PCB designs, and harness diagrams for laser systems and subsystems.
• Perform testing and debugging of electrical hardware under various environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and thermal engineers for system integration.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation including requirements, design specs, and test plans.
• Support environmental testing (thermal-vacuum, vibration, EMI) for space-qualification.
