Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme is seeking an experienced professional to join a global clinical operations organization and support the Site Budgets & Payments Operational Excellence strategy within the assigned region.

The role serves as the regional connection point for end-to-end budgeting and payments processes, translating global strategies into regional execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and country delivery units.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including site budgets, site payments, or related operational excellence activities.
• Strong knowledge of site budget and payment processes, systems, data flows, and regional operating requirements.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing data, coordinating cross-functional resolution, and translating global changes into regional execution.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the global Site Budgets & Payments Operational Excellence strategy within the assigned region.
• Serve as the primary regional connection point for Site Budgets & Payments process and system matters, incorporating country requirements and risks into governance.
• Promote globally consistent end-to-end processes, controls, and documentation while accommodating regional variations.
• Coordinate regional assessment of budget/payment issues and partner with teams for remediation.
• Clarify business needs and acceptance criteria to support integrated solution design, testing, and adoption.
• Translate regional requirements into enhancements across site budget/payment platforms and reporting tools.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, readiness assessments, pilots, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Use data and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and measure adoption.
• Lead or support regional enablement through training and knowledge share.
• Identify practical automation and AI-enabled solutions with governance review before deployment.
• Represent the region in governance forums and cross-functional initiatives.
• Foster continuous improvement and responsible digital/data-driven practices.
