Canonical seeks a Developer Relations Engineer to blend engineering, strategy, and communications for Ubuntu and related ecosystems. You will engage with open-source communities, contribute to documentation, and help craft developer experiences across Linux-based platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration, travel, and presenting at conferences to foster innovation and feedback loops that shape Canonical's product priorities.

Formación

• Passion for open-source software and active community engagement.
• Experience developing and deploying software on Linux.
• Hands-on Linux packaging experience (Snaps, debs, charms, rocks, PIP, containers).
• Understanding of current Linux packaging issues and trends.
• Contributed to open-source communities and documentation.
• Engaging speaker and presenter with global travel willingness.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in team product meetings from strategy to day-to-day progress.
• Maintain conversations with developer community members across channels.
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams to ensure consistency in approaches.
• Help solve technical problems identified by users or colleagues.
• Contribute to technical documentation to meet developer needs.
• Develop technical articles, presentations or workshops.
• Identify opportunities to improve the developer experience and present at events.
