OpsArmy is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role requires genuine financial judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

The position supports US business hours with coverage windows 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET and staggered schedules. Prior experience handling tax notices and customer-facing financial inquiries is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Ability to review tax returns and perform reconciliations across multiple clients.
• Experience handling complex tax inquiries and customer-facing financial support.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Assist customers with tax-related and payroll questions within scope.
• Communicate findings via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest workflow improvements.
• Learn and adapt to proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
