EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Java Developer to own complex initiatives from idea to production. You will architect and enhance services handling investment data, ensuring correctness and scalability in distributed systems. The role operates on a hybrid basis with four days in the office weekly.

You will lead development teams, drive API and microservice design, and collaborate across engineering, product, and business units to deliver robust solutions.

Formación

• Over five years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Minimum one year of leading development teams.
• Proven track record building APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Solid grasp of software design, testing, performance, and production reliability.
• Extensive experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Direct experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Fluent English (B2+) for understanding business needs.
• Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end with accountability.
• Nice to have exposure to financial services or capital markets.
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions and investment lifecycles.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Background in developing or upgrading large-scale systems.

Responsabilidades

• Build, deploy, and sustain software applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed system components.
• Direct engineering initiatives from planning through production release and upkeep.
• Identify and resolve complex application and data challenges with durable solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, technology direction, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AWS and cloud-native platforms for reliable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams on technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers to raise their professional capabilities.
