Job summary

J.P. Morgan’s CBCO KYC Organization seeks a KYC Relationship Officer to partner with Bankers and AML/KYC Operations to ensure client KYC records meet regulatory standards. You will support timely, compliant due diligence at inception and renewal of client relationships.

You will manage client expectations, drive high-quality KYC deliverables, and escalate risks as needed while maintaining strong client service standards in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify AML risks and apply AML/KYC policy concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
• Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and leverage internal resources.
• Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups.
• Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment.
• Previous credit training or underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage client and partner expectations in a consultative way.
• Exhibit ownership of KYC/AML experience and client experience.
• Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable.
• Demonstrate ongoing understanding of KYC/AML processes and work through delays and inefficiencies.
• Manage operational risk through diligent awareness of risks in our processes.
• Escalate risk items and drive issues to closure.
• Support banker in client selection process to manage client risk.
• Independently manage renewal cycle of Due Diligence Forms with Relationship Management.
• Accountable for timely portfolio management while maintaining quality expectations.
