Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes) to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments. You will focus on automation, tooling, and incident management to ensure reliability and performance.

The role requires 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production, strong Linux skills, and experience with cloud providers (Azure/AWS). Nice-to-haves include Grafana/Prometheus/Loki/Tempo, Helm, Terraform, and scripting in Python.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with Linux command line and troubleshooting.
• Experience with a public cloud provider (Azure or AWS).
• Familiarity with observability tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across public and private clouds.
• Work with observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts with up-to-date runbooks.
• Manage incidents from end-to-end, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients onto the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
• Identify and deliver process improvements for reliability and scaling.
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date.
