Job summary
AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, focusing on automation, tooling, and incident management. The role requires hands-on Kubernetes production experience, strong Linux fundamentals, and cloud provider exposure (Azure or AWS).
Remote-friendly with flexible schedule and opportunities to work on Fortune 500 and top product companies.
Qualifications
- 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.
- Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
- Experience debugging complex systems from app to infra.
- Public cloud experience, preferably Azure or AWS.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across cloud environments.
- Work with observability tooling to keep alerts actionable and documented.
- Manage incidents end-to-end, including root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Onboard and support new clients onto the platform.
- Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
- Identify and deliver process improvements.
- Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components updated.
- Proactively manage capacity to scale with demand.
