Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader with a Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires manufacturing plant. This IT Infrastructure Specialist role covers systems administration, level-2 support, and engineering of divisional infrastructure.

You will install, test, and upgrade systems, assist in security planning, and contribute to disaster recovery testing. The position emphasizes incident handling, documentation, and knowledge of network and infrastructure devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 4 years of IT work experience in computer systems or support with basic hardware/software knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides level-2 IT support including incident handling and problem resolution.
• Maintains hardware and software (OS, system utilities, security tools, monitoring tools).
• Supports change management including installation qualification and configuration management.
• Develops and maintains system documentation (technical, operations, support, user).
• Performs system tuning, capacity planning, and performance improvement.
• Documents call data into a tracking system and communicates with audiences clearly.
