Job summary

MAVI seeks an Inventory Accountant to own inventory accounting, landed cost, and COGS for a US consumer goods company, working remotely from Argentina. You will manage a defined close task set with review from a Senior Accountant and expand the scope as accuracy grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Hands-on with month-end close tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations

• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS with exposure to US clients
• Experience with NetSuite, Cin7, Fishbowl, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

The Role

We are seeking an Inventory Accountant to own inventory accounting, landed cost, and COGS at a US consumer goods company, working remotely from Argentina.

You will own a defined set of close tasks, from journal entries and reconciliations to supporting schedules, with a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager reviewing your work. The scope grows as quickly as your accuracy does.

What You'll Own

• Inventory roll-forward. Maintain the inventory roll-forward across warehouses, 3PLs, and in-transit stock.
• Landed cost. Capitalize freight, duties, and tariffs into landed cost accurately.
• Counts. Support cycle counts and physical counts, and resolve book-to-physical differences.
• Reserves. Calculate excess, obsolete, and shrink reserves with support an auditor accepts.
• Close tasks. Complete your close checklist on schedule, and document each task so a reviewer can follow it without asking.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with month-end close tasks, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Experience with inventory accounting, including landed cost and reserves
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
• Experience with NetSuite, Cin7, Fishbowl, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

• Experience with 3PL or WMS data and multi-location inventory
• Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
