Job summary

MAVI seeks an Accounting Manager to own month-end close and core financial reporting for a US manufacturing company, working remotely from Argentina. You will lead the team, report to the Controller or VP of Finance, and stay hands-on during close and audits.

You’ll manage inventory/COGS, apply US GAAP, and implement strong controls while collaborating with US leadership. This is a full-time, USD-compensated position with cross-border payroll support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience and leadership of accountants.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge or comparable GAAP experience with IFRS exposure.
• Experience with manufacturing costs and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct or Xero.
• Excellent written and spoken English for US teams.

Accounting Manager (US GAAP) - Manufacturing

The Role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to own the month-end close and core financial reporting at a US manufacturing company, working remotely from Argentina.

You will lead the area’s people and its day-to-day results, reporting to the Controller or VP of Finance, while staying hands-on whenever the close or an audit needs it.

The role sits close to the parts of the business that make a US manufacturing company different, so the accounting and analysis reflect how the sector actually works.

What You'll Own

• The close. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, with accountability for the calendar, quality, and cycle time.
• Financial statements. Prepare the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow support under US GAAP, and explain material movements.
• Audit. Lead the annual audit or review, from PBC preparation through resolution of findings.
• Inventory and COGS. Close inventory, standard cost, and COGS, including variance analysis.
• Physical counts. Support cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
• The team. Lead, review, and develop a team of accountants, setting clear standards for quality and timeliness.
• Controls. Design and maintain the controls and approval workflows for your area, and fix gaps before an auditor finds them.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of accounting experience
• Experience leading accountants and owning the review of their work
• Solid accrual accounting fundamentals and experience preparing financial statement support
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing company
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

• Big 4 or public accounting experience, or experience serving US clients
• Experience with NetSuite manufacturing, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP Business One
• Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement
