Job summary

Proofpoint Engineering is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive delivery across our cybersecurity product portfolio. You will lead cross-functional programs spanning Engineering, Product, Threat Research, and Operations, ensuring alignment and on-time shipping to protect millions of users worldwide.

In this role you will coordinate multiple Agile teams, manage dependencies, communicate risks to executives, and mentor junior program managers while shaping the program roadmap and delivery

Qualifications

• 7 years of program management experience in a software or product engineering organization.
• Strong ability to engage meaningfully with engineering teams on technical delivery.
• Experience working with scaled Agile frameworks and cross-team coordination.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of leadership.
• Hands-on with dashboards and program metrics in Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Own product delivery across the full software development lifecycle for cloud and appliance lines.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Product, Threat Research, Operations, and Customer Support across multiple teams.
• Coordinate across Agile teams using scaled Agile practices and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Turn program complexity into clear, strategic updates for senior leadership.
• Lead end-to-end delivery for multiple programs simultaneously, balancing long-term goals with day-to-day execution.
• Manage blockers and dependencies to keep programs on track.
• Engage with executive sponsors, providing visibility into status and risks.
• Mentor intermediate program managers and contribute to building a high-performing team.
