Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join a team delivering an in-house Selenium/Playwright-based framework. You will analyze problems, design and implement automated tests, and work with testers, developers and subject matter experts.

The role is hybrid and requires 5+ years in software testing, strong SQL, C#, and experience building scalable automation frameworks. You will mentor others, review code, and contribute to test planning and metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing (manual and automation)
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver/Playwright and C#
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks at scale
• Strong SQL skills including writing/optimizing queries
• Ability to work independently in a senior/lead capacity
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in web-based application testing
• Hands-on experience with AI tools in QA work
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design, create, and execute manual test cases using AI-powered QA workflow plugin.
• Evaluate which test cases to automate and generate, review, and maintain automated tests using the plugin.
• Log defects and report manual and automated test results in Azure DevOps.
• Provide input for planning, scheduling and implementation of test automation projects and architecture.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation scripts (AI-assisted).
• Act as the go-to expert on Selenium/Playwright-based test automation in C#.
• Participate in defining automation objectives, strategies, standards, and metrics.
• Analyze complex relational databases to validate data using SQL, including stored procedures.
• Write and optimize complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Mentor mid/junior testers and improve automation quality.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
• Use AI-assisted QA tools as a core part of daily work.
