Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to lead technical automation initiatives across Selenium/Playwright, C#, and SQL. You’ll mentor peers, shape automation strategy, and drive the end-to-end testing lifecycle within an AI-assisted workflow.

You will design scalable test frameworks, execute manual and automated tests, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software for our clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing (manual and automation), with a strong focus on Selenium WebDriver/Playwright and C#.
• Strong experience developing using object-oriented code
• Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks at scale.
• Strong command of SQL, including writing and optimizing queries, and understanding of complex schemas and stored procedures.
• Ability to work independently in a senior/lead capacity without direct supervision.
• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in web-based application testing.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in daily QA work, with the judgment to validate and correct their output.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
• Clear, effective communication skills with technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design, create, and execute manual test cases using the team’s AI-powered QA workflow plugin.
• Evaluate which test cases to automate and generate, review, and maintain automated tests using the plugin.
• Log defects and report manual and automated test results in Azure DevOps.
• Provide skilled input for planning, scheduling, and implementation of test automation projects and framework architecture.
• Design and implementation of scalable, maintainable test automation scripts (AI-assisted).
• Act as the go-to expert on Selenium/Playwright-based test automation in C#.
• Participate in defining automation test objectives, strategies, standards, and metrics.
• Analyze complex databases to retrieve, validate, and prepare test data using advanced SQL.
• Write and optimize complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor testers, and elevate technical quality of the team.
• Track, report, and communicate test results and automation progress to stakeholders.
• Debug and improve existing automated tests and framework.
• Interact with developers and other teams to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
• Use AI-assisted tools as a core part of daily work to accelerate test design, execution, and automation.
