Job summary

Chevron Buenos Aires is seeking a Team Lead, Accounts Payable for International Upstream Accounting. You will lead a team of AP analysts, manage end-to-end invoice processing and payments across multiple countries, and uphold SOX controls and local compliance.

Role focuses on process optimization, stakeholder collaboration across time zones, and contributing to quarterly close and reporting activities. Hybrid work arrangement in Buenos Aires offices is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
• 2+ years leading or coordinating teams, including workload management and people development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.
• Clear and concise communication, with ability to present results to management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Accounts Payable analysts, managing workload distribution and performance.
• Oversee end-to-end invoice processing cycle ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee the payment cycle for multiple countries including banking platform approvals.
• Ensure SOX controls in AP scope are designed, performed and evidenced on time.
• Coordinate month-end close and reporting deliverables for the AP team.
• Escalate complex issues and partner with Treasury, Tax, and other stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, digitalization and automation initiatives (RPA, dashboards).
• Support migrations, transitions and system implementations (ERP and banking platforms).
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
