Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking an experienced Procurement IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and procurement of IT hardware, software, and services globally. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, mitigating risks, and ensuring high-quality IT solutions aligned with business goals.

You’ll develop comprehensive IT category strategies, lead end-to-end procurement for complex projects, and partner with IT, legal, and finance to meet stakeholder objectives while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in business, supply chain, IT, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive IT procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
Experience negotiating high-value IT contracts (hardware, software licenses, SaaS, services).
Familiarity with IT market dynamics and key vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement IT category strategies for hardware, software, and services.
Lead end-to-end procurement for complex IT projects from requirements to contract and supplier performance.
Collaborate with IT, legal, and finance to align procurement with business goals.
Identify cost-reduction and value-creation opportunities in IT procurement.
Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement with key vendors.
