Hyre is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate, timely estimates supporting revenue, margin, and backlog. You will work independently with guidance from Senior Estimators and apply disciplined estimating standards to ensure high-quality bids.

The role emphasizes risk awareness, quantity takeoffs, and collaboration with operations, sales, and vendors. A remote-friendly setup and US business hours with some flexibility are offered.

Formación

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or a related discipline.
• Experience with industry estimating software and takeoff tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids concurrently.

Estimator

• Work Type: Full-time.

• Schedule: Standard US business hours required, with occasional flexibility outside standard hours to meet bid deadlines or support project needs across time zones.

• Location: 100% Remote.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate, timely estimates in support of company revenue, margin, and backlog objectives. Operating independently with guidance from Senior Estimators, you will focus on disciplined estimating execution, margin awareness, and the consistent application of estimating standards. Success in this role directly contributes to financial performance, pursuit effectiveness, and strong internal and external relationships within the commercial construction space.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating Production: Prepare complete and competitive estimates in accordance with company standards. Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify quantities, assumptions, and exclusions using approved tools and templates.

• Risk Management: Identify scope gaps, assumptions, exclusions, and potential estimating risks, escalating concerns to Senior Estimators or Team Leads in a timely manner.

• Business Development Support: Support pursuit and proposal efforts by providing accurate, timely estimating input and participating in bid strategy and scope review discussions.

• Quality & Process Adherence: Maintain accuracy and consistency in estimate preparation, participate in estimate reviews, and follow established documentation requirements and quality controls to reduce errors and rework.

• Relationship Management: Build effective working relationships with peers, operations, sales, vendors, and internal partners. Communicate clearly to support scope alignment and respond promptly to internal requests.

• Project Ownership: Manage workload, priorities, and deadlines effectively. Maintain visibility of assigned bids and upcoming pursuits, and support awarded project transitions as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or a related discipline.

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with industry estimating software and takeoff tools. Strong working knowledge of estimating methods, scope development, and margin drivers.

• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, high accuracy, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to identify issues and elevate them appropriately.

• Remote Infrastructure: Must have a dedicated, noise-free home office setup equipped with a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a backup power source.
