Chevron Corporation in Argentina seeks an Employee Relations Counselor to manage investigations, provide ER guidance, and support leadership with performance and disciplinary matters.

You will collaborate with Legal, Global Security, IT Forensics, and Labor Relations, lead dispute resolution initiatives, attend unemployment hearings, and participate in special projects to improve workplace practices. Fluency in English is required; occasional travel may be needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years in employee relations, workplace investigations, or related HR.
• Fluent English.
• Strong understanding of internal policies, processes, and local labor law.
• Ability to communicate with all levels and handle sensitive information.
• Travel occasionally as required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related tools.

Total Number of Openings 1 Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Employee Relations Counselor through November 1st at 11:59 p.m.

This role follows a hybrid work model, with a combination of remote and in‑office work aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to

Start-to-finish handling of investigative processes including intake, strategic planning, conducting interviews, data (evidence) gathering and analysis, report writing, updating case management systems, involving stakeholders and providing updates. Provide consultative services to business management at all levels on topics including performance management, discipline, and other corrective actions. Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution processes. Partner with other Chevron organizations pertaining to work assignments (e.g., Legal, Global Security, IT Forensics, Labor Relations, Compliance). Represent Chevron through professional organizations to benchmark and understand external ER-related matters, best practices, processes, and tools. Attend unemployment claims appeal hearings as a Chevron representative. Lead and/or support special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, or a related HR discipline. Fluent English. Practical application of organizational policies, internal processes, and local labor legislation. Strong attention to detail including demonstrated expertise analyzing and summarizing relevant facts appropriate for intended audience. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of personnel effectively and timely. Demonstrated independent decision-making ability, prioritization skills, and project planning and management. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to travel occasionally, as required by the role. Proficiency with Microsoft products including Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Co‑Pilot.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of HR systems, processes, and best practices typically gained through experience handling workplace matters related to HR (e.g., managing performance, progressive discipline, conflicts, inappropriate behaviors and misconduct including allegations of discrimination or harassment) at a large corporation or a firm supporting large corporations with a union presence. Good understanding of employment laws. Fluent Portuguese.
