Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a seasoned Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin. You will develop the commercial strategy, manage the full sales cycle, and build strong relationships with operators and drilling contractors to drive growth.

You will deliver technical presentations, coordinate with operations and engineering, and identify cross-sell opportunities across drilling products. The role emphasizes HSE compliance and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPIs.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or similar shale basins.
• Ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence engineering and procurement.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical information into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators (YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex) and drilling contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations and post-well analyses to show service value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, RSS.
• Support tender submissions and contract renewals to secure long-term business.
• Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence in CRM.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE requirements and company standards.
