Political Asylum Lawyers, a Houston-based immigration law firm, seeks a bilingual client liaison to support asylum cases. You will be the primary contact for clients in English and Spanish, handling emails and calls, and gathering information and documents as cases progress.

You’ll follow established workflows, flag delays, coordinate scheduling, and provide regular status updates so clients understand next steps.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and able to communicate with clients under significant stress.
• Works well under pressure.
• Able to keep track of tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm’s main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals in engaging clients throughout the representation.
• Return phone calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients.
• Provide status updates so clients understand where their case stands and what comes next.
• Coordinate case logistics: scheduling appointments and preparation sessions, reminders, and follow-ups.
• Assist in compiling and submitting filings to immigration agencies.
