Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers, a Houston-based immigration law firm, seeks a bilingual professional to serve as the primary client contact in Argentina. You will engage clients daily in English and Spanish, respond to inquiries, and gather information to manage cases.

You will follow workflows, coordinate with attorneys, and maintain proactive communication to keep cases moving forward. Strong written and verbal communication, empathy under pressure, and the ability to work independently are

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Tech-focused skills and eagerness to learn new online systems and procedures
• Empathetic and able to communicate with clients who are under significant stress
• Works well under pressure
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision
• Able to keep track of tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff in serving clients
• Serve as the firm’s main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals in engaging clients
• Serve as the bridge between clients and the legal team: surface client questions and concerns to attorneys and paralegals, and relay guidance back to clients clearly
• Return phone calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients
• Proactively provide status updates so clients always understand where their case stands and what comes next
• Set and manage clear expectations with clients about timelines, the process, and what will be required of them at each stage
• Work with clients to ensure they perform tasks designated for them in developing their cases
• Proactively identify clients who are disengaged, confused, or at risk of missing a step in their case, and intervene before it becomes a problem
• Coordinate case logistics: scheduling appointments and preparation sessions, sending reminders, and following up to keep clients engaged
• Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain tracking systems specifically built to catch clients before they fall through the cracks, not just to track deadlines
• Compile and submit filings to immigration agencies
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company protocols and processes
