Political Asylum Lawyers is seeking a remote team member located in Argentina to act as the primary contact for clients, communicating in English and Spanish daily and managing client inquiries. The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication, and adherence to firm workflows to keep cases moving forward.

You will support attorneys and paralegals, surface client questions to the legal team, and relay guidance clearly.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to helping immigrants secure their future in the United States through asylum.
• Fluent in Spanish and English

Responsabilités

• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff in serving clients.
• Serve as the firm’s main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals in engaging clients throughout the representation.
• Serve as the bridge between clients and the legal team: surface client questions and concerns to attorneys and paralegals, and relay guidance back to clients clearly.
• Return phone calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients.
• Proactively provide status updates so clients always understand where their case stands and what comes next.
• Set and manage clear expectations with clients about timelines, the process, and what will be required of them at each stage
• Work with clients to ensure they perform tasks designated for them in developing their cases
• Proactively identify clients who are disengaged, confused, or at risk of missing a step in their case
• Coordinate case logistics: scheduling appointments and preparation sessions, sending reminders, and following up to keep clients engaged
• Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain tracking systems to catch clients before they fall through the cracks
• Compile and submit filings to immigration agencies
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company protocols and processes
