Job summary

DevRev Inc. is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - Software Engineer (Backend) to build customer-facing capabilities across the stack. You will own features from concept to production, shaping APIs, data flows, and backend services while collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

You will work on a modern, AI-native SaaS platform, contribute to multi-tenant architecture, and strengthen observability, security, and performance across services in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering delivering production web apps or SaaS products.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong backend language experience (Go, Java, Python, or Node.js).
• Experience designing APIs, backend services, and SDKs.
• Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, asynchronous processing, and scalable systems.
• Experience shipping user-facing features with focus on usability, performance, reliability and security.
• Proven ability to work across a distributed, global team and participate in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build customer-facing features across the stack: web interfaces, APIs, and data models.
• Design and evolve scalable backend APIs and data flows for multi-tenant SaaS.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver cohesive product features.
• Write clean, tested code; participate in reviews; improve testing, observability, and security.
• Investigate production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Contribute to AI-first product capabilities and reusable internal tooling.
