Avature is hiring Backend Software Engineers for Argentina-based roles in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, CABA, Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza. You will work in small teams acting like mini software companies, balancing refactoring with new features, and shaping roadmaps quarterly.

Expected to contribute across the full stack of the platform, focusing on high-availability, performance, and scalable backend systems. Enjoy flexible hybrid work with in-person collaboration once a week.

Qualifications

• Backend software developer with strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Fluent in PHP, Python or Java.
• Previous DevOps experience is a plus.
• Great initiative and capacity to take on projects autonomously.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work and staying up to date with emerging AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement our tools and systems.
• Look into specific techniques and research to determine if they could be used by our team.
• Participate in and propose team discussions.
• Do technical analysis of existing code and perform refactors to improve code quality.
• Perform code review.
• Detect and fix problems in production environment.
• Contribute to the best practices of development, reliability, and availability of our systems.
