TransPerfect Inc. in Buenos Aires is seeking an Associate Localization Engineer to troubleshoot and create solutions for technical production issues, including file preparation, TM management, and script development for data manipulation.

You will collaborate with Localization Engineers and Technology Project Managers, learn our CAT tools, and contribute to project executions by automating tasks and validating new features.

Formación

• Fluency in English
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
• Knowledge of computer, scripting, and markup languages including Python, VB, VBA, C++, Perl, ASP, Java, JSP, XML, HTML, XLIFF

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily, project-based technical support to Production and Sales under guidance from senior team members
• Assist Project Managers and Linguists in troubleshooting issues related to the translation process
• Interface and coordinate with Sales and Client Services to provide input on pre-sale planning and quoting of projects
• Prepare various file types for the localization process to ensure compliance with client requirements
• Automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering
• Perform QA on translated files
• Manage and manipulate Translation Memories (TMs)
• Help validate new features in CAT tool, TM Server, Analysis Package, and other products
• Write scripts/macros in various programming languages to automate repetitive tasks
• Work closely with software Product Managers to report and test fixes for bugs
• Complete all other tasks assigned by the manager/supervisor
