Prometeo Talent is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity startup to recruit a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python in a distributed environment.

This is a 100% remote role with LATAM flexibility. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with a highly technical team, and leverage AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity while upholding quality.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of software or backend experience.
• 5+ years with Python, building production-grade backends.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Experience with AI/LLM-based development in production.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Ownership mindset, autonomy, and startup readiness.
• Advanced English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features and services from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with focus on reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes and standards.
