MetLife Argentina is seeking an Analytic Consultant - Group Valuation to perform reserve valuation, financial reporting, and actuarial analysis for Group products in Buenos Aires.

You will partner with Finance and CFO teams to analyze reserve movements, update assumptions, and improve valuation processes, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and perform detailed financial analyses.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources to support actuarial or financial reporting activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead reserve valuation and financial reporting activities for Group insurance products, including Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reserves.
  • Create analyses and reporting materials that explain reserve movements, earnings results, and key business drivers.
  • Oversee assumption reviews, testing, and implementation for new business and in-force blocks of business.
  • Manage actuarial valuation processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Develop process enhancements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reporting quality.
  • Coordinate cross-functional partnerships with Finance, CFO teams, and business stakeholders to communicate valuation results and reserve impacts.
  • Maintain, update, and periodically recertify process documentation and controls.
  • Support new product implementations and ensure appropriate reserve methodologies are established.

The Opportunity

The Analytic Consultant - Group Valuation is responsible for reserve valuation, financial reporting, and actuarial analysis for Group products. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of statutory, GAAP, and tax reserves while supporting sound financial decision-making and regulatory compliance.

The individual in this role will partner closely with Finance, CFO teams, and other business stakeholders to analyze reserve movements, support assumption updates, improve valuation processes, and contribute to strategic business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in reserve valuation, actuarial modeling, or financial reporting within the insurance industry.
  • Progress toward actuarial credentialing through completed actuarial exams.
  • Experience using SQL, Power BI, VBA, Python, PolySystems, or similar analytical and reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial research, data analysis, and reserve methodologies.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
