MetLife Argentina is seeking an Actuarial Associate to support experience studies within MetLife Holdings, focusing on Retail Life and exposure to Retail Annuities. You will work with data teams and valuation actuaries to analyze trends and automate processes.

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or other quantitative field, or equivalent qualification.

The Opportunity

The Actuarial Associate is responsible for supporting experience studies within MetLife Holdings. The Actuarial Associate will play a key role in conducting experience studies for Retail Life, as well as have the opportunity to gain exposure to Retail Annuities and other lines of business. Success in this role requires an ability to quickly grasp actuarial concepts and understand how they fit into the bigger picture, analyze data thoughtfully and methodically through tight schedules, and take initiative to automate and simplify complex data processes. The Actuarial Associate will collaborate closely with data systems teams, segment Lead Actuaries, and modeling and valuation actuaries, in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

Required Qualifications

• Strong mathematical aptitude and quantitative reasoning skills
• Ability to learn quickly and develop deep expertise in core actuarial concepts
• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or other quantitative field, or equivalent qualification
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (English language)
• Interest in working with data analytics, database systems, and intelligence platforms
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders through active listening, clear articulation of issues, thoughtful recommendations, and effective coordination in time‑sensitive environments
• Proven capacity to operate autonomously, take initiative, and oversee deliverables to completion
• Proactive mindset with a strong emphasis on improving processes via automation, AI capabilities, and simplification initiatives
• Ability to present thought-out recommendations clearly and succinctly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data platforms and/or programming languages like Alteryx, SQL, Databricks, and Python
• Advanced level Excel skills
• Prior exposure to life insurance, mortality analysis, or valuation
• Understanding of core technology concepts such as database management, shell scripting, workflow scheduling, and version control
• Experience contributing to the development and maintenance of low‑code/no‑code solutions with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and secure oversight
