As a successful CO+I CE Field Service Engineer, your success will be measured by:

• Ensuring compliance with data center business units and service-level policies.
• Engaging with appropriate teams and resources to execute tasks or projects.
• Managing programs associated with your area of responsibility.
• Demonstrating conscientiousness on cost adherence, keeping costs reasonable, and contributing to staying within budget.
• Following and adhering to safety and security policies and procedures, reporting immediately any issues or concerns.
• Participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes as appropriate.

• Maximizing Critical Environment (CE) availability in collaboration with landlord partners at leased datacenters to ensure operational efficiency.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, including reviewing MOP/SOP/EOP, conducting RCAs, FMEAs, change governance, and risk mitigation.
• Reducing high-impact and human-error CE incidents annually.
• Delivering on cost and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Supporting emergency preparedness and response plans, acting as an escalation point for facilities-related issues.
• Coordinating, planning, scheduling, and supervising CE audits and compliance verifications.
• Ensuring routine reporting for effective management and analysis of Power, Temperature, Humidity, and SLA monitoring.
• Establishing and strengthening relationships with Engineering Groups and Landlord partners, contributing to MBRs and QBRs.
• Collaborating with regional and global peers to share best practices across the datacenter portfolio.

• Sharing best practices and assisting others in learning roles, processes, and procedures.
• Providing mentorship across data centers for specific expertise.
• Seeking training opportunities aligned with business interests and personal career goals.
• Suggesting risk reduction strategies for maintenance activities and accommodating scheduling needs.
• Proposing improvements based on understanding and experience.
• Contributing to a positive team environment by adopting best practices and participating constructively in meetings and collaborations.

• Holding oneself accountable for end-to-end service quality, including availability, safety, security, and customer experience, aligned with management priorities.
• Supporting the escalation of issues to the appropriate owner.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of industry experience in a datacenter or critical environment facility, OR
• 3+ years of industry experience with college coursework.

Background Check Requirements:

• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU).
• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services.
• Experience working on large-scale CE projects.
• Experience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.).
