Job summary
A leading luxury hotel group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Reservation Host to manage room bookings and enhance guest experiences. Responsibilities include processing reservations, handling inquiries, and ensuring adherence to service standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least one year of relevant experience, and familiarity with hotel management systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in remote settings are essential for success in this role.

- Run daily reports for various departments.
- Process new reservations and handle discrepancies.
- Monitor internet reservation systems and room availabilities.
- Adhere to company standards and performance benchmarks.

- Run daily reports for Reservation department, operational departments, Sales & Marketing.
- Process new reservations, update and clean up reservations, process advance deposits, answer reservations inbox emails within 24 hours, process reports (No Shows, ORS Comments, Commission, etc.) and other reservation related duties as assigned.
- Assist in all allocation of rooms.
- Check and handle special requests and hard blocking rooms as needed.
- Contact guests or travel agents to clarify any discrepancies in preferences or requests before guests’ arrival.
- Track future room availabilities based on reservations.
- Monitor and update internet reservation system in coordination with respected hosts.
- Assist in determining room rates based on the resort’s selling tactics.
- Assist in the management of the guest history and profile system.
- Ensure all reservations daily are completed with all necessary guest information, profile information and rate/market/source codes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation; maintain and exceed performance benchmarks.
- Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
To execute the position of Reservation Host, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience in a similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including PMS, GDS and CRS platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort policies regarding reservations, discounts, MICE platforms and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas room bookings.
I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on a single status.
