Job summary
A leading geotechnical firm in Dubai is looking for a Project Manager to ensure the efficient execution of projects while maintaining client relationships at an executive level. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to organizational goals. Responsibilities include managing project teams, driving profitability, and supporting business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Leads and manages project teams to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Maintains client relationships and drives business development efforts.
Provides full leadership of assigned projects and programs. Ensures delivery of the contract scope in strict alignment with QHSE, commercial, technical and contractual requirements. Leads senior project teams. Drives profitable delivery. Manages client relationship at executive level. Supports business development and positioning.
Works closely with General Manager, Division Managers, Operations and Commercial functions to ensure projects are resourced, supported and delivered in line with business objectives.
- Maintain a positive work culture and encourage team working.
- Train, motivate and coach the team.
- Manage work by communicating task expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising task results.
- Work with each individual to set annual and semi-annual objectives in line with business strategy and individual development requirements and follow-up on the achievement of these objectives.
- Ensure efficient execution and delivery of projects within agreed schedules and according to client expectations.
- Supervise and monitor project management team providing direction, support, mentoring and assistance as necessary.
- Supervise the preparation of project execution plans, method statements, schedules, QHSE plans and risk assessments to address client requirements and in line with Fugro’s procedures.
- Provide weekly resource planning and utilization plan to ensure that proper planning is in place for the execution of ongoing and future projects.
- Coordinate with the project managers and other division managers.
- Maintain regular contact with key clients and prospective clients via regular visits, meetings, calls etc.
- Attending and conducting regular internal/external technical project meetings, kick-off meetings and safety sessions.
- Generating work from ongoing projects and existing clients.
