We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Quant Developer to work in the Market Making Department for the development of trading algorithms. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of trading algorithm development and back-testing. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute ideas to the team and develop their understanding of capital markets trading microstructure. You will work closely with traders and engineers in a collaborative environment and be capable of demonstrating flexibility, contributing ideas and working effectively with teams across the business.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop and deploy research workflow and tools
• Create scalable, standardised solutions in collaboration with the trading team
• Build innovative tools to conduct profitable trading systems
• Ensure high quality SDLC implementation ensuring engineering best practice
• Improve compute capabilities through continual infrastructure development
• Extensive testing and optimization to achieve production standards
Candidate Requirements
• 3+ years of experience working in a development role within capital markets.
• Prior exposure to high frequency trading strategies and trading is a plus
• Experience working on order books and market depth data is key
• Expert in Scala or Python programming.
• Knowledge in Git, Azure DevOps is a must.
• Machine Learning, Data Science or some Data engineering background is a plus
• Knowledge in unit and integration tests using JUnit, Cucumber (Gherkin), customized Java APIs and in libraries like Apache Spark and Gradle
• Curious, autonomous, problem-solving and team spirit oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or IT related field.
• Speak English fluently.
