Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Active Directory Engineer to manage and support our Active Directory environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of enterprise identity and access management systems. You will play a key role in ensuring authentication services are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational policies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Manage user and group accounts, access control, and directory synchronization.
  • Perform domain controller health checks, patching, and upgrades.
  • Support Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), AD Connect, and hybrid identity environments.
  • Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AD replication, authentication issues, and domain-related problems.
  • Maintain and optimize identity and access management (IAM) processes.
  • Work closely with security teams to enforce policies, MFA, and conditional access.
  • Collaborate with IT teams for integration with Office 365, Exchange, and other enterprise apps.
  • Participate in audits, disaster recovery planning, and security incident response.
  • Document systems architecture, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience managing Active Directory in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and hybrid cloud identity solutions.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of AD architecture, Kerberos, LDAP, and DNS.
  • Knowledge of identity federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Security & Compliance Center and Defender for Identity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar cybersecurity certification
