Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer – Civil & Wet Utilities to support the Resident Engineer in supervising civil and wet utilities construction. You will ensure works align with drawings, specs and quality requirements on large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include supervising stormwater, sewerage, potable water networks, pipeline work, tests and inspections, while coordinating with contractors, inspectors, and authorities to resolve site issues and drive on-time

Qualifications

Experience supervising civil and wet utilities construction on infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and method statements.
Strong coordination and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Supervise civil and wet utilities construction activities in accordance with drawings and project requirements.
Oversee stormwater, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
Supervise pipeline installation, manholes, catch basins and associated structures.
Monitor earthworks, concrete works, reinstatement and related activities.
Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and ITPs.
Coordinate with Contractor, Inspectors, Surveyors, authorities and other disciplines.
Monitor testing, CCTV, leakage tests and commissioning activities.
Prepare site reports and support progress meetings.
