Job summary

GMG Gulf in Dubai is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of pharmacy products. You will work with RF scanners, manage stock across ambient, chilled and freezer areas, and ensure FEFO/FIFO stock rotation while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

The role requires basic English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehousing, pharmacy, FMCG or retail is an advantage.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Comfortable working in chilled and freezer areas.

Responsibilities

• Goods Receiving and Storage: receive, verify and store pharmacy products.
• Order Picking, Packing and Dispatch: pick, pack and prepare orders using RF scanners.
• Inventory Handling and Stock Replenishment: maintain ambient, chilled and freezer stock; track expiry dates and batch numbers.
• Warehouse Quality and Safety: uphold hygiene and safety standards and report issues.

Position Overview GMG is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support the receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of pharmacy products in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves handling pharmacy inventory accurately, using handheld and RF scanners to process orders, checking product expiry dates and batch numbers, and maintaining stock across ambient, chilled and freezer storage areas. The Warehouse Assistant will follow established warehouse, pharmacy, quality, hygiene and safety procedures to ensure products are handled correctly and orders are prepared for dispatch. Candidates with previous warehouse, pharmacy, FMCG or retail experience will have an advantage. The position requires basic English communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work in chilled and freezer environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Goods Receiving and Storage
  • Receive incoming pharmacy products and check them for accuracy.
  • Verify received products before placing them in designated storage locations.
  • Store pharmacy inventory according to established warehouse procedures.
  • Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Report incorrect, damaged or unsuitable products to the appropriate team.
• Order Picking, Packing and Dispatch
  • Pick pharmacy products according to order requirements.
  • Pack orders accurately and prepare them for dispatch.
  • Use handheld and radio frequency (RF) scanners for warehouse order processing.
  • Check selected products to ensure order accuracy.
  • Follow established procedures for picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Inventory Handling and Stock Replenishment
  • Replenish stock in designated warehouse storage areas.
  • Maintain inventory across ambient, chilled and freezer locations.
  • Follow First Expired, First Out (FEFO) and First In, First Out (FIFO) stock rotation practices.
  • Check product expiry dates and batch numbers during warehouse activities.
  • Identify and report expired, damaged or incorrect products.
  • Assist with physical stock counts and inventory verification.
  • Support accurate stock handling and organised storage.
• Warehouse Quality and Safety
  • Follow pharmacy product handling and quality procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout assigned warehouse areas.
  • Comply with warehouse hygiene and safety requirements.
  • Handle products appropriately in chilled and freezer storage environments.
  • Follow established procedures for identifying and reporting stock issues.
  • Support a safe and orderly warehouse working environment.
