Role Context
The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse activities by handling goods from vehicles, containers, staging areas, chambers, and loading zones. The role requires careful checking of quantities, production dates, expiry dates, lot numbers, SKU details, and product condition to ensure accurate stock control and smooth delivery processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from trucks, vehicles, containers, and delivery areas.
- Offload inbound goods safely and move them to the correct warehouse location.
- Receive items using RF guns and ensure accurate capture of production date, expiry date, lot number, and quantity.
- Verify loaded and offloaded quantities against warehouse records, loading lists, and delivery requirements.
- Sort and segregate products according to SKU, weight, quantity, category, and storage requirements.
- Move inbound pallets from staging areas to assigned stock locations.
- Move outbound pallets from chambers to the loading area for dispatch.
- Palletize, arrange, and sort products during picking and put‑away activities to reduce damage.
- Load goods for outbound deliveries and confirm that correct picked items are loaded as per the loading list.
- Receive, inspect, and examine incoming goods on behalf of the organization.
- Process inventory for delivery and support accurate stock movement inside the warehouse.
- Package items carefully and apply correct labels before storage or dispatch.
- Sort, organize, label, and store inventory in the correct warehouse locations.
- Remove inventory from trucks or shipping areas and deliver it to the proper location.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety across warehouse aisles, storage areas, loading areas, and workstations.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged products, missing labels, quantity issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow warehouse procedures, company policies, food or product handling standards, and health and safety requirements.
Ideal Profile
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, stock handling, loading, unloading, or inventory support is preferred.
- Ability to handle physical warehouse duties including lifting, moving, sorting, palletizing, packaging, and loading goods.
- Basic understanding of stock movement, SKU sorting, inventory storage, labeling, and delivery preparation.
- Experience using RF guns or warehouse scanning systems is an advantage.
- Ability to verify production dates, expiry dates, lot numbers, quantities, and product details accurately.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to prevent product damage and stock errors.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with changing operational priorities.
- Ability to follow instructions, loading lists, warehouse procedures, and safety rules.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work as part of a logistics and warehouse team.
- Willingness to support inbound, outbound, picking, put‑away, and general warehouse housekeeping activities.
