Job summary

NOVACONTINENTAL TRADING LLC SPC is seeking a seasoned logistics professional to oversee transport planning, warehouse operations, and cross-border activities across the UAE and GCC. The role emphasizes field execution, vendor management, and strict adherence to HSE standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years GCC logistics experience, fluency in English, and a strong background in SAP MM/PM and office software.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license (manual/automatic) with ≥2 years local driving experience.
• 5–8 years GCC logistics/warehousing experience (UAE preferred).
• Willingness to undertake high-frequency field travel and cross-regional driving.
• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport planning for containerized and bulk cargo from ports to warehouses or sites.
• Manage inventory transfers between multiple warehouses to ensure timely delivery.
• Execute backloads and material reuse per project requirements.
• Lead on-site inspections, supervising loading/unloading and handovers.
• Conduct OS&D investigations and closure actions.
• Oversee daily warehouse activities: receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and internal requirements.

Job description

1. Logistics & Material Movement

• Transport Planning: Coordinate containerized and bulk cargo movement from ports (e.g., Khalifa Port) to warehouses or project sites, planning optimal logistics routes.
• Multi-node Coordination: Manage inventory transfers between multiple warehouses to ensure timely Customer PO delivery.
• Backload Management: Execute equipment and material backload and reuse according to project requirements.
• Field Execution: Conduct daily on-site inspections at transport nodes, supervising loading/unloading, handovers, and exception handling.
• Exception Handling: Lead OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) investigations and ensure closed-loop resolution.

2. Customs Compliance & Documentation

• Customs Clearance: Liaise with customs brokers and shipping lines to ensure import/export processes comply with UAE Customs regulations
• Documentation Management: Independently prepare and review the following:Manifest、Delivery Note、Packing List
• Compliance Control: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local regulations and internal company requirements
• Cross-border Logistics: Support transport coordination between UAE and GCC countries

3. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

• Warehouse Operations: Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch
• Inventory Accuracy: Organize monthly Cycle Counts and annual stocktakes, ensuring inventory accuracy rate ≥98%
• Warehouse Optimization: Continuously optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to improve space utilization and operational efficiency
• System Management: Achieve real-time inventory and logistics data visibility through SAP (MM/PM) and other systems

4. Material Integrity & Certification

• Asset Data Management: Maintain technical specifications and lifecycle data for lifting equipment, machinery, and electrical materials
• Third-Party Certification: Coordinate inspection bodies for equipment calibration, testing, and certificate renewal (Color Code management)
• Technical Documentation System: Establish complete records including technical specifications, calculations, purchase requisitions, and delivery dossiers

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Vendor Development: Build and maintain a local resource pool of transporters, warehouse service providers, and equipment service providers
• Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms for transport, equipment refurbishment, and warehousing services
• Performance Evaluation: Assess vendors based on KPIs (timeliness, cost, service quality)
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain efficient communication with Sales, Project, Admin, and third-party teams

6. Operational Excellence & HSE

• On-site Supervision: Ensure warehouse and transport operations meet operational standards through daily field inspections
• PTW Management (Permit to Work): Responsible for contractor work permit approval and supervision
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with HSE standards
• Rapid Response: Provide immediate on-site presence and resolution when abnormalities occur in transport or warehousing

• Logistics Knowledge: Familiar with container and bulk cargo transport processes and customs clearance operations
• Geographical Familiarity: Well-versed in UAE's major ports, industrial zones, and line-haul transport routes
• Resource Network: Existing local logistics service provider network is preferred
