Job summary

Accor's Novotel Dubai Al Barsha is seeking an enthusiastic Waiter/ess to join a dynamic team. You will be the face of the dining room, greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering exceptional service with warmth and attentiveness.

In this fast-paced environment, you will maintain high standards, assist with setup and closing, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service. Fluent English and the ability to work flexible shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter/ess in a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask efficiently, and maintain composure in busy settings.
• Solid knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and dining etiquette.
• Proficiency with basic mathematics for accurate bill calculations and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed menu information and personalized recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area throughout service.
• Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions with precision.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns.
• Adhere strictly to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health protocols.
• Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant, including restocking supplies and organizing workstations.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Strong memory for menu items, specials, and guest preferences
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (Arabic, French, or other languages) is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to Dubai's multicultural dining environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high grooming and dress code standards
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Willingness to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
