Role Context
The Visual Merchandising Manager – Luxury Retail will lead the development and execution of visual merchandising standards across premium watches and jewellery retail environments. The role connects brand storytelling, luxury customer experience, seasonal campaign execution, store design, visual asset governance, retail operations, marketing, e-commerce, wholesale, and merchandising teams. By creating visually consistent and commercially strong displays, the position supports stronger brand equity, improved customer engagement, higher conversion, and a more refined omnichannel retail experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive premium visual merchandising standards across retail stores, wholesale doors, distribution locations, and priority customer-facing environments.
- Execute brand-right visual merchandising strategies in partnership with Brand Managers, brand principals, retail teams, and marketing stakeholders.
- Translate global brand guidelines into practical store displays, product launches, seasonal concepts, floor sets, and customer engagement experiences.
- Identify relevant retail, lifestyle, luxury, and design trends to keep the visual experience current, premium, and commercially effective.
- Develop monthly floor sets and seasonal visual merchandising plans aligned with product launches, brand objectives, and commercial priorities.
- Support the visual execution of brand events, retail activations, new partner launches, and in-store customer experience campaigns.
- Enhance customer journeys across priority retail locations and top wholesale doors to improve engagement, conversion, and brand perception.
- Oversee display production, staff briefing, fixture arrangement, product presentation, and final execution quality across locations.
- Conduct regular visual merchandising audits to review standards, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in display consistency and store impact.
- Coach store teams, Retail Operations, Store Managers, Brand Managers, merchandising teams, and external partners on visual standards and execution requirements.
- Partner with Marketing and E-commerce teams to ensure aligned storytelling across physical stores, digital platforms, campaigns, and customer communication.
- Source props, display elements, accessories, materials, and supplier support required to bring visual concepts to life.
- Manage and maintain the POS and visual asset library to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality across channels.
- Monitor visual merchandising budgets, production costs, and supplier expenses while maintaining high-quality presentation standards.
- Create display sketches, visual layouts, floor plans, and execution guidance using design tools and brand guidelines.
- Support key accounts and wholesale visual merchandising requirements while maintaining uniformity across multiple store locations.
Ideal Profile
- University degree in Interior Design, Merchandising, Fashion, Retail Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of visual merchandising experience in retail fashion, luxury, watches, jewellery, lifestyle, or premium brand environments.
- Strong understanding of luxury customer experience, retail storytelling, product presentation, and omnichannel brand consistency.
- Proven experience managing brand launches, retail activations, seasonal campaigns, multi-store visual projects, and display rollouts.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of visual planning tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect display standards with customer behavior, conversion, sales performance, and brand perception.
- Confident coaching and communication skills with the ability to guide store teams and influence stakeholders.
- Strong project management ability with the discipline to manage timelines, suppliers, budgets, assets, and multiple locations.
- Creative eye for luxury detail, product placement, lighting, props, storytelling, and customer flow.
- Ability to collaborate across Retail Operations, Marketing, E-commerce, Wholesale, Distribution, Merchandising, Brand Management, and external vendors.
- Organized, visually precise, and commercially focused approach with high standards for execution and brand consistency.
