Job summary

AW Rostamani Group in Dubai is seeking a Yard Marshall to oversee vehicle movements in the yard area, directing traffic and ensuring safe loading and unloading operations. The role includes basic quality checks on vehicles and adherence to yard rules during daily operations.

The candidate should have a UAE driving license, good attention to detail, and the stamina for long hours outdoors. A secondary diploma or automotive training is preferred, with prior yard experience a plus.

• Ensure adherence to yard rules and safety; oversee safety of people and vehicles.
• Perform basic quality inspections on vehicles in the yard.
• Support ad-hoc operational tasks as requested by supervisor.

Job purpose

The primary purpose of a Yard Marshall is to oversee the movement of vehicles and goods within the yard area, ensuring the safe and efficient organization of transportation, loading, and unloading activities. They are responsible for directing traffic, managing yard operations, and maintaining the safety and security of the yard environment to support smooth logistics operations.

Job responsibilities

• Drive vehicles from one point to the next – based on daily instructions and requirements.
• Ensure adherence to yard rules. Safety of members and Quality of vehicles is top priority
• Perform basic quality inspection on vehicles within storage yard.
• Time to time support with any ad-hoc operational requirements as and when requested by supervisor.
• Perform Careful affixing of RFID Tags on Vehicles.
• Ensure performance of Process using RFID Scanners.
• Perform periodical Battery Health check using authorized Devises as per instruction.
• Perform Battery Fluid check and top up battery fluids as per instructions.
• Perform Vehicle Waxing on Chrome Parts as per Instructions
• Perform vehicle wash activities before vehicle delivery
• Perform fuel dispensing to vehicles as per norms
• Manage all related fuel station management activities with respect to safety protocols.
• Record daily fuel utilization in system and perform fuel stock taking.
• Perform basic quality inspection of all vehicles handled with respect to exterior/Interior (conditions) and moving parts

Educational Qualification

• Secondary School Certificate. Diploma / ITI in Automotives /Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience

• 2 years’ experience or more in similar job Profile

Competencies

• Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual - License No 3 & 5)
• Basic Math knowledge.
• Ability to focus on details with respect to Vehicle Models /Specifications /Features/Coloursbility to quickly identify defects /Issues in vehicles. Good Observational ability
• Quick learner, Adaptability and attitude to learn.
• Ability to take up tiring job profile which warrants long hours standing, more distance walking and working in hot climatic conditions in an open yard.
• Sound physical and Mental health & stamina without any chronic ailments, medical history
• Understands the importance of superior Customer Service.
• Knowledge on Road-side repairs

Languages

• Proficiency in writing and Speaking skills in English
