Job summary

Parsons is seeking a skilled Utilities Engineer in Dubai, UAE to develop conceptual and detailed designs for utility corridors and master planning, coordinating with multiple engineering teams and authorities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and a minimum of five years' related experience, with CAD/Civil3D proficiency. Excellent communication and QA/QC practices are essential for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• EIT certificate is an advantage.
• Proficiency with CAD and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed utility corridor designs and master planning.
• Coordinate with other engineering sections and prepare alternative solutions.
• Be conversant with local Authority regulations.
• Prepare engineering design models in Civil3D or similar software.
• Work with other disciplines for coordinated multi-discipline designs.
• Prepare presentations and reports for clients and authorities.
• Provide support for other engineering activities.
• Provide input to BIMCAD Designer on the project.
• Review plans/profiles for technical compliance and constructability.
• Develop simple workflows/templates for efficient repetition of design.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to complex models.
• Check design deliverables from junior engineers.
• Track progress vs baseline schedule.
• Contribute as a productive team member to meet deadlines.

Utilities Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop conceptual and Detailed engineering design for the Utility corridors design, master planning of utilities, Utilities Cross sections, writing technical notes, and coordination of existing and new utilities infrastructure. Coordinate with other engineering sections, prepare alternative solutions to issues and problems
• Shall be conversant with local Authority regulations.
• You will prepare engineering design models in Civil3D or similar software.
• You will work with other engineering disciplines to develop coordinated multi-discipline designs.
• You will prepare presentations and reports to explain proposals and solutions to clients, Authorities and management.
• Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
• Provides input to BIMCAD Designer working on the same project.
• Review plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction
• Develops simple workflows / Templates to enable efficient repetition of design
• Applies advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models
• Checks design deliverables from equal or less experienced Engineers
• Track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule.
• Contribute as a productive and efficient team member to meet project deadlines

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is advantage.
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures
