Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking a Laundry/Uniform Supervisor in Abu Dhabi to oversee the implementation of uniform and linen standards across the department. You will supervise daily operations, ensure timely processing and maintain inventory, while handling staff and guest-related issues with professionalism.

The role requires a diploma or degree in vocational hospitality and 4–5 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel, with a focus on training, standards, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of Laundry/Uniform room standards and procedures in relation to Uniform, Cleaning service, Linen maintenance.
• Recommend changes to standards and training needs on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain knowledge of all Uniform systems.
• Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing calls.
• Solve employee grievances.
• Perform Linen/Uniform inspections.
• Ensure all Uniform is processed and ascending in a timely manner.
• Manage all special requests made by Employee.
• Ensure consistency within the department.
• Management of lost property for the hotel.
• Ensure knowledge of F&B linen & Uniform.
• Complete stock takes as required.
• Maintain stock levels of F&B linen & room linen.
• Conduct shift briefings to align on hotel activities and requirements.
• Maintain linen flow to floors and outlets.
• Distribute articles and handle guests, managers and employees uniforms.
• Assist laundry and housekeeping operations during peak hours.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and remove hazards.
• Maintain complete and accessible files.
• Participate in monthly inventories.
• Follow up daily check lists.
• Ensure telephone etiquette per Rixos standards.
• Manage guest complaints professionally and record resolutions.
• Respect schedules and deadlines with Management.
• Keep team updated on administrative, organizational, and operational changes.
• Lead daily line-up briefings with the Uniform room team.
• Share daily activity highlights with Housekeeping Manager/Laundry Manager.
• Assist in fulfilling administrative responsibilities and monitoring activities.
• Create atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship.
• Develop staff motivation and performance through action plans and retention.

Job Description

Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all Uniform systems

Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over

Management of all incoming and outgoing calls

Perform Linen/Uniform inspections

Ensure all Uniform is processed and ascending in a timely manner

Manage all special requests made by Employee.

Ensure consistency within the department

Management of lost property for the hotel

Ensure you have complete knowledge of F&B linen & Uniform

Manage storage areas

Complete stock takes as required

Maintain stock levels of F&B linen &room linen.

Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known

To maintain constant linen flow to the floors and the outlets.

To ensure proper distribution of all articles and efficient handling of guests, managers and employees uniforms.

To assist laundry and housekeeping operations during daily peak hours.

To ensure work areas and stores are always in a good state of maintenance and that fire hazards and safety hazards are removed.

To ensure uncompromising levels of cleanliness and maintenance through each employee’s responsibility.

To maintain complete and readily accessible files.

To participate in monthly inventories.

To follow up daily check lists.

To ensure a proper use of the telephone etiquette as per Rixos standards.

To manage any guest complaint in a professional manner, by owning it, resolving it to the guest satisfaction and recording it.

To respect schedules, terms and deadlines as agreed with the Management.

To ensure that all team members are updated with the latest administrative, organizational, operational or other changes and news.

To conduct / attend a daily line up briefing with the Uniform room team to recapitulate tasks and activity.

To share daily activity highlights with the Housekeeping Manager/Laundry manager including internal and external guest opportunities.

To assist in fulfilling administrative responsibilities and monitoring activities.

To create an atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship among the staff.

To develop staff motivation and performance through action plans. To be involved in staff retention and satisfaction.

To ensure trainings and regular “refresher” courses are conducted and attended as scheduled.
