Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Facility Engineer (Mech/Elec) for its UAE operations. The role focuses on hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, operation, and safety within AWS data centers, serving Abu Dhabi and Dubai locations as needed.

You will maintain UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC, fire/life safety, and related systems while supporting incident response and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and controls.
• Knowledge of electrical competencies and theory.
• UAE National with family book.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS data centers.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and promote a world-class safety culture.
• Work 4 days on 12-hour shifts with on-call rotation.
