Job summary

Element MEA in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day transactions, maintain the General Ledger, and support inter-company reconciliations across group entities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of UAE accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, strong MS Excel and ERP skills, and a good grasp of UAE VAT and corporate tax. This role requires meticulous, proactive collaboration with Audit, Tax & Compliance and other finance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 3+ years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR, General Ledger, reconciliations and day-to-day accounting.
• Good command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax.
• Experience With Multiple Entities/group Companies is Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier and inter-company reconciliations.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and properly documented.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and management data for multiple group companies.
• Provide financial information and supporting documents to the Internal Audit team.
• Support the Tax & Compliance team with financial data, VAT/Corporate Tax workings and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing, audits and financial reporting.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
