Job summary
Consultant Engneers LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Graduate Accountant to support the finance team with maintaining records, preparing reports and ensuring compliance.
The role involves verifying, posting and reconciling accounts, producing reports, invoicing, tax assistance and assisting monthly closings, while coordinating with the Senior Accountant to improve procedures. UAE experience and strong Excel skills are valued.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- GAAP knowledge and accounting principles familiarity
- 1 year UAE accounting experience
- Experience with engineering consultancy firms is a plus
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong English communication, written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable/receivable
- Produce accurate financial reports and present results
- Prepare sales invoices and follow up on payments
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Maintain a proper filing system for accounting documents
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Ensure GAAP compliance across books
- Coordinate with Senior Accountant to improve procedures
