Job summary

Kalamntina in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage full accounting cycle across UAE and international entities, including GL, fixed assets, and accruals. You will collaborate with operations to ensure accurate financials and timely reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting with 3+ in senior capacity, strong knowledge of VAT, multi-currency consolidation, and leadership to mentor the team. Experience with Zoho Books is highly preferred; CPA/ACCA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Senior Accountant role.
• Retail industry experience with multi-location operations (UAE and international).
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and multi-currency reporting.
• Zoho Accounting/Zoho Books experience preferred; other ERP systems acceptable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA/ACCA preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills; able to present insights.

Responsibilities

• Perform and ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and petty cash controls.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax and applicable financial regulations across jurisdictions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, driving accuracy, efficiency and improvements.

• Manage the complete accounting cycle including General Ledger fixed assets accruals and financial transactions across UAE and international entities.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes including stock reconciliations cost of goods sold COGS analysis and inventory variance reporting in coordination with the operations team.
• Perform and ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations intercompany transactions and petty cash controls across multiple locations.
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including financial analysis and variance reporting for management review.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT corporate tax requirements and applicable financial regulations across all operating jurisdictions.
• Lead mentor and develop the accounting team while promoting accuracy efficiency and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant role.
• Proven experience in the retail industry, with exposure to managing accounting operations across multiple locations (UAE and international markets).
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and multi-currency financial reporting and consolidation.
• Experience with Zoho Accounting/Zoho Books is highly preferred; familiarity with other ERP and accounting systems is acceptable.
• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
