Job summary

AL SERKAL GROUP L.L.C in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage general ledger, month-end close, intercompany, and financial reporting for a multi-entity environment. You will maintain accruals in Odoo, post depreciation, and ensure VAT compliance while coordinating with junior staff and cross-functional teams.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, UAE VAT awareness, and strong Excel/ERP skills (Odoo preferred; SAP B1 a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or professional qualification.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience with 3–5 years in GL/senior roles.
• Hands-on GL management, month-end closing, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience in multi-entity or group accounting environments.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT; UAE tax awareness is a plus.
• ERP proficiency, especially Odoo; SAP B1 is beneficial.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to guide junior staff and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile monthly expense accruals and prepayments; post adjustments.
• Maintain accruals/prepayments in Odoo and clear intercompany balances.
• Post monthly depreciation and maintain fixed assets register.
• Process asset additions, disposals, transfers and reconcile to GL.
• Reconcile bank accounts, overdrafts, petty cash, and cheques in hand in Odoo.
• Resolve bank reconciliation discrepancies and coordinate with junior analyst.
• Reconcile intercompany balances across entities and ensure related party amounts are settled.
• Prepare monthly income statement and balance sheet; update reporting templates.
• Perform variance analysis and explain material differences vs budget.
• Support consolidated management reporting and group-level analyses.
• Operate Odoo as primary system; assist with SAP B1 data as needed.
• Ensure VAT accuracy at transactional level and tax documentation readiness.
