Job summary

Al Tayer Group in Dubai seeks an experienced Travel Consultant to guide customers through travel options, help choose routes and airlines within budget, and efficiently issue tickets.

You will maintain customer records, propose cost-saving add-ons, handle payments, stay updated on industry rules, and strive to deliver personalized service that builds lasting loyalty.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in the travel industry.
• Intermediate / A’ Levels required.
• IATA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with information on travel options, assist them to choose the best route/airline within budget, and process tickets.
• Make proposals to limit travel costs or offer add‑on services (airport transfers, hotel bookings).
• Comply with administrative policies and cash collection to maintain transparent transactions.

Job Description:

• To provide customers with desired information on travel options, assist them in choosing the right route/ airline suiting their budgets and process their tickets in order to sustain continued customer patronage and reach sales targets

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide customers with desired information on various travel options available, assist them to choose the most suitable route/ airline according to their budget/ needs, and process their tickets in time to enable them to make well informed decisions on their travel & embark on the journey.
• Make proposals to clients to limit the cost of travel or offer services to reduce the add-on costs like airport pick-ups, hotel accommodation etc.
• Comply with all administrative policies and procedures relating to ticketing and collection of cash/ cheques from customers, in order to avoid discrepancies and disputes at a later date and to maintain transparency in all transactions dealing with money.
• Maintain an up-to‑date database on all regular customers pertaining to their bookings, frequent traveler numbers, meal / seat preferences etc., to offer them personalized service and sustain their continued patronage.
• Receive and process customer feedback, after completion of travel, to gauge their views/ opinions on the level & quality of service offered by ATTA and scope for improvement, if any.
• Follow‑up with defaulting customers to collect overdue payments to enable the company to settle its’ accounts and achieve its’ business objectives.
• Update ones’ product knowledge, general information on latest developments, rules/ regulations pertaining to travel industry to be enabled to offer the precise kind of advice that suits the customers’ needs and ensures their satisfaction.

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• Intermediate / “A’ Levels
• Additional qualifications in IATA certification would be an advantage

Years of Experience

• 3-5 years experience in the travel industry
