Job summary

Al Tayer Group is looking for an experienced travel consultant to assist customers with travel options, help them choose routes/airlines within budgets, and process tickets to drive customer satisfaction and sales targets.

You will maintain customer databases, upsell services, follow up on payments, and stay updated on industry rules and regulations to provide precise advice and a seamless booking experience.

Qualifications

• Intermediate / A' Levels required; IATA certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years experience in the travel industry.
• Strong customer service and sales orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with travel options and assist in choosing the best route/airline.
• Help customers stay within budget and process their tickets on time.
• Propose add-ons to reduce travel costs, such as airport transfers or hotels.
• Maintain an up-to-date customer database with preferences and frequent traveler numbers.
• Collect customer feedback after travel to improve service quality.
• Follow up with overdue payments to support cash flow.
• Keep product knowledge current with travel rules and industry updates.

• To provide customers with desired information on travel options, assist them in choosing the right route/ airline suiting their budgets and process their tickets in order to sustain continued customer patronage and reach sales targets

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• • Provide customers with desired information on various travel options available, assist them to choose the most suitable route/ airline according to their budget/ needs, and process their tickets in time to enable them to make well informed decisions on their travel & embark on the journey.
• • Make proposals to clients to limit the cost of travel or offer services to reduce the add-on costs like airport pick-ups, hotel accommodation etc.
• • Comply with all administrative policies and procedures relating to ticketing and collection of cash/ cheques from customers, in order to avoid discrepancies and disputes at a later date and to maintain transparency in all transactions dealing with money.
• • Maintain an up-to-date database on all regular customers pertaining to their bookings, frequent traveler numbers, meal / seat preferences etc., to offer them personalized service and sustain their continued patronage.
• • Receive and process customer feedback, after completion of travel, to gauge their views/ opinions on the level & quality of service offered by ATTA and scope for improvement, if any.
• • Follow-up with defaulting customers to collect overdue payments to enable the company to settle its’ accounts and achieve its’ business objectives.
• • Update ones’ product knowledge, general information on latest developments, rules/ regulations pertaining to travel industry to be enabled to offer the precise kind of advice that suits the customers’ needs and ensures their satisfaction.
